Todos os cinco selos com margens muito largas e com cor excepcional.
Carimbos limpos de barras “35", de Peniche. Circulada daí para
Caminha, por Lisboa e Porto. Uma peça fora de série do primeiro mês
de circulação. Esta
extraordinária carta pertenceu ao não menos extraordinário BURRUS,
sendo depois vendida em Inglaterra, em 1984, pela Robson Lowe,
juntamente com as restantes preciosidades desta colecção (estimou-se
então o seu valor em 300...). Passou
depois à posse de Joaquim LEOTE, leiloando-se na Suíça, em 1984
(valor estimado em 4.000 Francos Suíços). Luiz
Frazão adquiriu-a, tendo sido vendida oito anos mais tarde em
Barcelona – Soler & Llach, por 3.000.000 Pesetas. Ex-ÂNGELO
LIMA. Leiloada
pela Afinsa, em Madrid, em 1995, por 4.750.000 de Pesetas. |

the most attractive letter with this very rare multiple franking. Ali
the fíve stamps with very large margins and bright colour, neatly
cancelled with “35” bar postmarks from Peniche. Circulated
to Caminha via Lisbon and Oporto. A fantastic item from the FIRST
MONTH OF CIRCULATION. This
extraodinary item belonged to the equally famous BURRUS collection and
was sold in the United Kingdom in 1984 by Robson Lowe, together with
other beautiful items of the same collection. Its estimated price was
£ 300. It
then belonged to Joaquim LEOTE, and was sold in a Auction in
Switzerland in 1984, with an estimated value of 4,000 Swiss Francs. Luís
FRAZÃO adquired this item and sold it eight years later in Barcelona
through Soler & Llach, for the amount of 3,000,000 Pesetas. Ex-ÂNGELO
LIMA. Sold
in a Auction in Madrid in 1995, through Afinsa, for the amount of
4.750.000 Pesetas.
